Do you want to know more about Port? Would you like to taste exclusive Port wines? And taste this? Then a Port wine tasting is the answer. Port Exclusive offers different tastings with exclusive Port wines, ranging from a basic package to a tailor-made tasting. For both consumers and professionals. The tasting is provided on location.
Is it a course? Is it a master class? Yes that too, but above all a fun and pleasant (and tasty) afternoon or evening.
What can you expect?
During the Port tasting you will get an explanation about Port, its history, the region, how Port is made and what the possible combinations with food and beverage are. In addition, for each glass a further explanation is given of the specific Port being served. You will learn how to recognize the aromas and flavors of Port. After the tasting you will enjoy a glass of special Port.
Basic Port Tasting
The basic package consists of five types of Port from different Quinta’s. You will enjoy the following Port varieties:
- a White Port,
- a (Reserva) Ruby,
- a Tawny Port,
- a Colheita or a 10-year-old Tawny and
- a vintage.
The price for a basic package is €390.00, which is €48.75 pp based on a group of eight people. †
Branded Port tasting
You can also taste the various Port wines of a specific Quinta. At this moment, Port Exclusive delivers the port wines of the following brands: Presidential, DALVA, Quinta de Roriz, Taylor’s, Fonseca, Pintas and Quinta do Infantado. You compose your own package with five types of Port that you want to taste of one brand. Of course you can count on professional advice. The package can also be extended with more varieties of the chosen brand. The total cost for the brand package depends on the chosen Port wines.Vintage Port tasting
You can organise an exclusive tasting with the Vintage package. There is a choice of five Vintage Port wines ranging from the year 1982 to 2012. You can make this arrangement even more fun by tasting the difference with a Colheita from the same harvest year. The total cost for the branded package depends on the Vintage Port wines chosen.Cheese platter and other delicacies
All arrangements are combined with an extensive cheese platter: 4 types of cheese, nuts, dried fruit, hard sausage, French bread. And dark chocolate. You will taste the wine and food combination and experience what that does to the taste of both the Port and the food.
